The Architek Percussion quartet asked two Canadian composers to create a new world for this concert: Andrea Young and Sabrina Schroeder.
Two compositions, about thirty minutes each, are based on the concept of soundscape and merge percussion and electronic sounds to explore the limits of time. Their thematic evolution moves in a slow rhythm, offering the audience an opportunity to follow the process of sound being produced, while being transported by a series of musical moments that seem endless. Through the use of live reverberation and spatialization of sound sources, the public participates in an immersive acoustic experience, accompanied by a special device that controls the lighting. This is a concert that will invite reflection, introspection and the discovery of heightened auditory sensitivity.
