Jacques Drouin

Jacques Drouin is active as a soloist and a musician of the Nouvel Ensemble Moderne in the fields of contemporary music and 20th century classics. He studied under Lorraine Vaillancourt at the Faculty of Music of the Université de Montréal, where he completed his Ph.D. and received distinctions for his research, creation and interpretation of mixed music. Jacques Drouin’s résumé includes teaching (until 2000), numerous concerts here and abroad with the NEM, pluridisciplinary collaborations (dance and theatre), and assistant artistic director for the ensemble. He is a founding member of the NEM.
