A concert hall, rehearsal hall, new music interpretation centre, artist residencies, researcher residencies, percussion co-op, home to community organizations… The Vivier at Saint-Sulpice project allows to have an impact on new music disciplines as a whole, to act as a catalyst for community forces and help bridge the gap between these artists and audiences.
The Saint-Sulpice Library was one of Montréal’s highlights. By drawing on the magnificent achievements of the European Network of Cultural Centres housed in historic buildings, the organization offers to illustrate this "contemporary heritage" concept in Montréal and breathe new cultural life in this architectural gem.
Montréal, Cultural Metropolis, knows how important and dynamic its creators are. The city is known abroad as an international new music nexus. We believe that Le Vivier at Saint-Sulpice, Montréal’s first Networking Cultural Centre, represents an international political and strategic asset for Québec. Asserting its leadership in modernity and heritage buildings can only improve the Province of Québec’s cultural standing.
