  • Pourquoi aller au concert du… Quatuor Molinari

Vous connaissez le théâtre musical? Non?

On this International Day for Monuments and Sites, the world celebrates the 40th anniversary of Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage of UNESCO. Heritage Montreal organizes several activities throughout the weekend. For its part, Le Vivier invites you to discover the future new music center, Saint-Sulpice library.

Currently under construction for masonry work, you can discover its attractions through the photo album of the Ministère de la culture, des communications et de la condition féminine du Québec.

We hope to be able to invite you there to celebrate the centenary of the building in 2015.

Le Vivier is proud to celebrate the birthday of a great mind who left his mark in the musical field. Claude Vivier (born April 14, 1948) has inspired an entire community and his work still has an influence on music throughout the world.

This quote, roughly saying that the future is ours, reflects the spirit of Le Vivier Group, created by the community and for the community. The fervour and dynamism of our composers, performers, artists and artisans, make Montreal a cultural metropolis and real “vivier”!

We invite you to read the article Voyage au bout de l’œuvre by Jonathan Goldman, published by Circuit in 2008 as part of the SMCQ Homage Series.

“The future of music is in our hands”

This quote from Quebecois composer Claude Vivier has provided the impetus for the creation of our organisation, and for its goal of bringing all forms of new music to a wider public.
